1. Scope
This policy applies to personal information handled by ExpertCodeFX through expertcodefx.com, direct support communications and related business interactions. Third-party marketplaces, social networks, video services and brokers have their own privacy policies for information they collect directly.
2. Information we may collect
Information you provide
- your name, email address, optional communications preference and the content of support, custom-development or business enquiries;
- product, marketplace, licence or order references you choose to provide for support;
- platform version, broker, symbol, settings, logs, screenshots or test reports you voluntarily send to diagnose a problem; and
- records of consent, complaints and correspondence.
Information generated when the website is used
Our hosting, security and network providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, security events and diagnostic data. This information is used to deliver and protect the website, troubleshoot faults and understand basic website operation.
Please do not send trading-account passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, API secrets or remote-access credentials by email.
3. Why information is used
We may use personal information to:
- assess and reply to enquiries, prepare development scopes and provide product support;
- send occasional ExpertCodeFX product and development updates only where you have chosen the optional updates preference, with an unsubscribe option;
- confirm product or marketplace context where reasonably necessary;
- diagnose technical problems and improve documentation, software and website reliability;
- prevent misuse, fraud, spam and security threats;
- maintain business, legal and complaint records; and
- comply with applicable law and protect lawful rights.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use information supplied for support to place trades or access a customer's trading account.
4. Cookies, embedded content and external links
ExpertCodeFX does not currently operate an on-site advertising profile or customer login. Essential hosting and security technology may be used to deliver and protect the website.
Some pages embed videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. YouTube or Google may still receive technical information and may store or access data when an embedded player is loaded or used. Links to MQL5, cTrader, YouTube, Telegram, Facebook and other third parties take you to services controlled by those providers. Review their privacy settings and policies before using them.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Information may be processed or disclosed only where reasonably necessary to:
- website hosting, content delivery and security providers, including Cloudflare;
- email and business-technology providers used to receive and manage correspondence;
- marketplaces or platform providers when you ask us to investigate a purchase or technical issue;
- professional advisers, insurers or authorities where reasonably necessary; or
- another party where required or authorised by law, or with your consent.
Some providers may process information outside Australia. The countries involved can vary according to provider infrastructure. We take reasonable steps appropriate to our role and the information involved, but overseas recipients may be subject to different privacy laws.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for support, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and whether an issue remains open.
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information. No email, internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You should remove unrelated personal or account information from screenshots, logs and reports before sending them.
7. Access, correction and deletion requests
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information or ask for deletion where applicable. Email [email protected] with enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required by law or reasonably needed for legal claims, security or transaction records.
8. Children
The website and trading software are intended for adults who can lawfully use trading platforms and marketplace services. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent information should contact us.
9. Privacy enquiries and complaints
Send privacy questions or complaints to [email protected]. Please describe the concern and the outcome you seek. We will review the request and respond within a reasonable period. Where Australian privacy law applies, you may also have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when website features, service providers, information practices or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the latest published version.
