Product walkthrough

See Obsidian in the cTrader testing workflow.

The published video demonstrates the product interface and historical testing workflow. A video or historical simulation is not verified live-account performance and does not predict future results.

Before the first run

Use the intended broker environment

Select the broker's actual Gold symbol, confirm M5, inspect contract size, tick value, spread, commission, swap, leverage and volume limits, then test the supplied configuration before changing strategy inputs.

01

Confirm identity

Match cTrader Store product 5306 and version 1.1 to the installed package.

02

Check the symbol

Use the broker's real XAUUSD, GOLD or suffixed equivalent and verify its specifications.

03

Complete a test

Save the exact dates, data, costs, balance, leverage, settings, report and logs.

Risk disclosure

Automated trading involves substantial risk. Historical simulations and Store-displayed statistics do not guarantee future results. Broker execution, data, costs, leverage, symbol specifications and user settings can materially change outcomes. Test independently and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
